LET US BREAK BREAD TOGETHER

Anyone else missing the good ole days where people literally "broke bread" as a way to show respect and friendship while engaging in comfortable interaction? Here's what I suggest...print up the recipe below, invite a few friends over for socially-distanced happy hour and talk about the good ole days while enjoying each others company. I love to serve this with olive oil and/or butter!

Easiest way to go from banging your head to enjoying delicious bread:

3 CUPS FLOUR (extra for dusting dough while shaping)

2 TSP INSTANT OR RAPID RISE YEAST

2 TSP SALT

1.5 CUPS WARM TAP WATER

Mix the flour, yeast and salt in large bowl. Add water and use the handle of a wooden spoon to mix the flour, but don't go too crazy here. Cover with cling wrap and leave on counter for 2-3 hours until it doubles in size.

Preheat oven to 450 and place dutch oven in with lid 30 minutes prior to baking. At the same time, remove dough from bowl and place on chopping board. Use flour to shape dough into round-fish shape, again not going too crazy to be perfect here, but to eliminate air bubbles. Slide onto large piece of parchment paper (NOT WAX PAPER AS I LEARNED WITH FIRST BATCH) and transfer to heated dutch oven. Place in oven and bake for 30 minutes covered, then 12 minutes uncovered until golden and crispy.
