I like to think I'm fairly tech savvy, but it seems like once I finally learn how to navigate one device, something else comes along and I've got to start my lesson learning all over again. My voice activated remote control, for example, has yet to learn my voice. Or she just doesn't like me, who knows. I still don't understand why we need keyless cars if I still have to figure out where to put the darn key. And don't get me started on refrigerators that predict what items need replacing..seriously? One little gem of technology I've recently fallen in love with, however, is the smart lightbulb. Thomas Edison would flip his wig if he knew such a device existed, but boy is it handy! Ranging from $10 to $25/each these lightbulbs are controlled by an app you download on your phone. If you've got an iPhone simply say, "Siri, turn on living room lights." You can also set them to come on and off at a certain time, adjust the brightness or even change colors for different moods. In short, this is a game changer! If you're a realtor and tired of walking through a house turning on and off lights for showings, invest in these babies and turn them on and off with one click! For me, it's nice to know there will be a light on at the end of the tunnel when I get home.
