NEW YEAR, OLD BS
WOW time flies when you're busy! I can't believe how long it has been since my last post, but dang, it's been NUTS and (mostly) in a good way. I've been researching, buying, designing, styling, and just about everything in between. From updating a hideously tacky dining room to turning a coffee table into an ottoman; Renovating a 5,000 square foot house from tip to toe to recovering a chair for my beau, I've been busy busy busy and plan to spend a little time here sharing it with you. So, it's a new year so that means out with the old BAD STUFF and in with the new. Why don't we start 2019 with a facelift? A cool couple wanted an easy, quick solution to update their dated fireplace surround. While the new look screams expensive, using quartz meant the price was much lower than the marble it models. Because I was able to use remnants from my favorite tile and granite store (always ask tile stores if they have remnants...leftovers or returns from other customers...because they are far less expensive than cutting new) it only cost $350 from template to removal to install. Cheaper update? PAINT IT!
