For whatever reason, I'm totally obsessed with these "penny" tiles lately. While I tend to be fairly conservative in my tile choices (I lean toward more evergreen looks, like subway tiles, that won't fade with changing trends) I love these for pops of color and visual interest. My latest project found me placing these on a shower floor (kind of an obvious application, if you ask me) but as a fun weekend project, I bought a square foot piece for $4.99, glued onto a piece of wood and added simple trim to create a trivet for hot pots next to our cooktop! Now there's an inexpensive gift idea!!
