Memory Cards

It seems like everyone is on vacation but us. Sad. Oh well. I'm actually deep in the throws of a fairly large, exciting project which I will share with you after I wrap it up in a pretty bow. In the meantime, if you are splish splashing your way down a beach or tanning your fanny somewhere fabulous, when you get home keep those exciting vacation memories alive by creating a fun keepsake. If you mention this to your kids they might start crying, but school is just around the corner, and what better way to help them through some of those days then to have a cool display to remember the fun they had in the sun. This would also make a great host gift if you're staying with friends and family on vacation, or a neat project for the kids on a rainy day. Grab a few cheap key rings at the dollar store (usually a bag of ten for $1) and with a hole puncher, punch out holes in postcards, napkins, maps, etc. from your favorite vacation spot. I still have a paper coaster from the Bulldog bar in Amsterdam, a place I visited TWENTY years ago (eeeeek). So, before the bright memories of summer fade into the cold, dark months of winter, create something cool before your kids go back to school.
TIME TO COMPLETE TASK: Thirty minutes
COST: $2 for twenty keychains at the Dollar Tree or other Dollar chains
STRESS LEVEL: Creating a fun way to keep memories fresh: LOW
