Fluffing the Seat
It's shocking how much material the United States Government has given us in recent months. Clearly, I'm in the wrong profession because what most people are talking (and reading) about today is Anthony Weiner's, well you know, and in recent months the number of cheating, lying, nude-photo taking men in politics has far outnumbered the amount of positive achievements in Government. When was the last time you heard good news about the state of our economy, the parties coming together, wars ending, oil prices falling, etc. BUT, chit chat about what congressman put his thing where is all over the place and, quite honestly, I'm tired of it. To escape the nonsense, I decided to help a friend fluff her backyard furniture. Still quite attractive, but need of attention, for less than $10 we put our hands to work and forced some excitement into the once-sad table and four chairs. In my opinion the retro floral print was fabulous, but time was not on its side, holes had appeared and water was trapped under the cushions giving anyone who sat down, a gunky behind. We headed to walmart and found an outdoor, padded tablecloth for $1.99 and purchased two cans of Rustoleum spray paint in Forest Green for $2.99/each. By cutting the table cloth in half, we were able to salvage half of it to use as an actual tablecloth, while we cut four sections out of the remaining cloth to cover four seats. A few clicks of a staple gun to the back of each seat, and the new covers were ready for some hot action!
