INTRY
After we came out this week it was time to head back into our closet-size entry (well, closet fit for a Queen) to install the front door and new windows. Because we're trying to save money and wanted to preserve the original front door (read: we're INSANE) we moved the front door and storm door to the new location in our entry. If you're in a more sane frame of mind, head to the Home Depot or Lowe's and purchase pre-hung doors...trust me, it will make your life much, much easier. As one door closes, another opens but if you want your doors to open after the harsh elements have pounded them, make sure you treat exterior wood with primer! Our window of opportunity between storms was small so we dove right in. Click on the video above for a peek into our little world!
TIME TO COMPLETE TASK: Two days to install original door and windows
COST: Special order windows took 2 weeks from Lowes: $149/each, shims $3
STRESS LEVEL: Finally able to close the door on this project: LOW
