The most Googled search last week was the media-hungry Octuplet mother, desperate to tell her story about her new fight to raise fourteen children. While rumors fly about her intentions (some say she's altered her appearance to look like Angelina Jolie in an attempt to lure Brad Pitt, others assume she hopes to land a Gerber deal for the babies, or appear on Oprah to tell her story) the reality however, after the lights dim on her fifteen minutes, she has fourteen mouths to feed. My suggestion..she shut hers and start working on a way to feed theirs! With fourteen ideas on what to do with our garden once the ground thaws this summer, we decided to come up with a big-picture plan. With two big mouths to feed in our house, we thought growing a garden we can use every night with lettuce, asparagus, radishes, herbs and fruit was a fun, money-saving idea. We also want to create outdoor "rooms" we can spend time in during the hot summer nights, a fenced area for the dogs, a new compost pile an outdoor dining room and living room area. To get started I Googled our property, printed up the map of our home, and have gone ga ga in the planning of our outdoor spaces!
