CATER TO THE WINERS

My favorite characters from the old days of Saturday Night Live were Doug and Wendy Whiner. The couple everyone dreads hosting at a dinner party, their shtick was to complain about everything from soup to nuts, coffee to creamer, arrival to departure. They hated (and whined) about every part of every event. On a recent channel surf I landed on vintage SNL with yours truly, Doug and Wendy, at it again. The scene found the two characters at a Thanksgiving dinner party complaining about everything from the thick gravy to the dry turkey, thankful for nothing. While I don't believe we've invited Doug and Wendy to our Thanksgiving dinner, Joe and I plan on catering to our guests every need so we don't have any whiners at our table!
