SOUTHERN BELLE

With a rainy forecast bound to keep us from attacking outdoor projects this weekend, we found ourselves sofa-bound for most of it. As the wind blew like crazy outside, I caught a few minutes of one of my favorite films, Gone With the Wind. One scene in particular found Scarlett O'Hara wondering if her home is still standing when her town is overtaken by the Yankees or if it was "also gone with the wind which has swept through Georgia." As I watched Scarlett flirt with disaster our favorite Southern Belle, Judy, called us from her home in Southern Georgia in distress...apparently strong winds from a passing storm knocked out her doorbell (we actually think it was a wiring issue, but didn't want to be too dramatic). Like Scarlett O'Hara who will do anything to keep her land and get what she wants, Judy was determined to fix this problem on her own. The easiest way to get this Belle on the ball was to send her to Home Depot for a wireless doorbell! They're inexpensive and easy to install (simply plug in the bell mechanism to any outlet within 75 feet of the front door and stick the doorbell with double stick tape to the outside). Now she'll be ready when her prince charming comes knocking..or ringing!
