RAISING THE BAR
According to Target, Ikea, Home Depot, Bed Bath & Beyond, Pottery Barn and many others my studies in Art History and Interior Design are worthless. Who cares about Monet's brush strokes or where to place the chaise if you can't install a towel bar? When did these seemingly simple tasks require a degree in HOW TO INSTALL STUPID NONSENSE? Clearly, I'm frustrated by my inability to install a simple piece of hardware in our bathroom. Hanging the drywall, no problem. Tiling the shower, challenging but doable. Attempting to screw a $5.00 towel bar into the wall of our guest bath; without a degree in Engineering, IMPOSSIBLE! So, if you're having similar difficulties do what I do..screw it! Or, in this case, don't.
DON'T SCREW!
For the bathroom above I found a ladder in a local store (obviously not of the home depot variety but if that's the look you're going for...), placed it in the bathroom against a wall and created, not only a towel rack, but a visually pleasing focal point. And, no screwing involved!
TIME TO COMPLETE TASK: Two minutes
