SPICE IT UP A BIT!
Go ahead, live on the edge! Make plans this evening with a big, spicy pig! They're full of flavor and guaranteed to leave your mouth feeling hot and bothered! We felt like pigs last night so headed to the grocery store, purchased pork chops and rubbed them down with a Cajun Dry Rub from THE JOY OF COOKING! It was fast, cheap and left us squealing with joy!
EMBRACE YOUR INNER PIG:
1.) Purchase pork chops ($3.00 for two in California..what's not to like?)
2.) Prepare rub in a bowl: 1 tablespoon cracked black peppercorns, 1 tablespoon salt, 2 teaspoons crushed fennel seeds, 1 teaspoon dried thyme, 1 teaspoon hot paprika, 1 teaspoon dry mustard, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon ground red pepper, 1 teaspoon ground sage.
3.) Light grill (you can also prepare on stove but Joe prefers..and I love the taste..of the grill) If you don't eat pork, rub it on a chicken, steak or fish!
4.) After grill is prepared, we place over direct heat for two minutes on each side then indirect for ten minutes.
