DOGGIE STYLE
If you've chosen this lifestyle, chances are it's going to hurt from time to time. There are a few things you can do, however, to avoid tremendous pain. Purchase a few tools, ask your doctor for some drugs and take a deep breath. Chances are, you might actually enjoy it! With our big road trip just four days away, we've made preparations for our high-maintenance passengers. Canyon (shown drooling above) hates car travel. Bones, on the other hand (sleeping on the armrest) can go anywhere, anytime, in anything. To make the journey less painful, we've rented a motorhome and put together a goodie bag for the puppies including Doggie Zanex (check with your vet before administering), toys, treats, dog beds and cleaning supplies. Short of flying them on the Concord, we think they'll be pretty relaxed, comfortable and ready for the journey!
HERE'S HOW WE DID IT IN STYLE:
1.) Rented motorhome from El Monte RV (http://www.elmonterv.com/) Basically we could stay at the Ritz in Maui for less, but who needs room service and massages???
2.) Headed to pet smart to purchase treats, toys and long leashes (keep in mind if taking pets on road trips, ANY PETS, tend to want to run away, so be prepared when stopping and get solid, well made leashes and collars)
3.) Purchased plastic container at Target to hold treats, drugs, leashes, toys to separate from adult treats, drugs and toys.
TIME TO COMPLETE TASK: Two hours
COST: Motorhome (too much) Toys, Treats and plastic containers $55.00
STRESS LEVEL: Low
