STAIN ALIVE

It's alright, it's okay, you might look the other way...but that won't make the project go away! In our case, we've reached the task on our "to do"list of staining the staircase leading to our second story addition. For you, it might be breathing new life into an old piece of furniture: a desk you've stripped, an old dining room table you wanted to bring back to life or a dresser that needed a face lift. You tackled the project but just haven't finished the last step. It's okay..it's alright..you don't have to look the other way anymore! Staining is actually quite easy! Joe and I headed to the local home improvement store, decided which stain matched our current wood floors best (as the staircase lands on existing, 100 year old floors, we want to match as closely as possible) and headed home with a foam brush and a little patience. In less than an hour we brought new life to our staircase!
DON'T AB-STAIN:
1.) We purchased a gallon of MINWAX.
2.) Sanded stairs, wiped clean with damp cloth.
3.) Applied stain with foam brush. Let dry 24 hours before sealing with poly.
TIME TO COMPLETE TASK: 45 minutes
COST: $8.99/Minwax $1.50/Brush
STRESS LEVEL: Low
