It's been one of those weeks!  If Uncle Sam kicked you where the sun don't shine, maybe this cool little beverage will brighten up your day!  It's Friday and it's time to celebrate because the weekend is here, summer is around the corner and, well, it's always five o'clock somewhere! The key to the last few cocktail recipes I've shared (and a staple for many summer drinks) is the addition of an easy little ingredient, simple syrup.  Just like the title suggests, it's simple to make and lasts for weeks in your refrigerator...simply boil two cups of water, add two cups of plain sugar and allow the sugar to dissolve.  Let the finished product cool in your refrigerator then, while your kids prepare their stand for selling lemonade, whip yourself up a batch of these delicious Whiskey Lemonades!
FIVE O'CLOCK SHADOW: (This recipe is for one drink)
3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
2 tablespoons Whiskey
2 tablespoons simple syrup
lemon zest
Combine the above in a glass, grab your favorite chair and enjoy this sweet surprise as you watch the sunset!
