DEAL WITH YOUR BAGGAGE!

Unless you've bin hiding in a cave along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, you're most likely aware of the changes in security policies at airports across our country. As annoying as it may seem to remove your shoes and endure a body-cavity search prior to boarding, relax..the alternative isn't pretty! So, take a deep breath, prepare yourself and deal with your baggage before arriving at the security checkpoints. Even though you may feel inconvenienced, if you're not prepared (and usually those people are in front of me) you'll inconvenience everyone waiting behind you! In preparation for my trip to JFK today (where I'm sure the security people are lovely, gracious, helpful..) I headed to my favorite stomping ground, Target, and found a few great deals on baggage!
HOW TO DEAL:
If you're flying anywhere this summer and plan on carrying your bags on the plane it's a good idea to make sure you know what you can and cannot take on board. A machete? No. Grenade? Don't think so. The easiest way to deal with your carry-on baggage is to place toiletries in clear containers no larger than 3 ounces and place all in a quart-size zip lock bag (or find the sassy carry on shaving kit I found at Target for $19.99). As you approach the security kiosk, remove your shoes, take out your plastic and get ready!
TIME TO COMPLETE TASK: Thirty minutes
COST: $19.99 at www.target.com
STRESS LEVEL: Coping with my baggage: LOW
